Downtown Boise is close and since parking is very cheap, if not free, don't be afraid to drive. You're also very close to grocery shopping, restaurants, and Boise State University. The Mill District in Harris Ranch is located in the Barber Valley, on the east end of Boise. It's wonderfully close to all of the best things Boise has to offer, and once you see it you'll know why. The vast majority of homes are newer, and in planned subdivisions with lots of amenities. What makes the east end especially attractive is the natural, built-in amenities: Boise River Greenbelt, Ridge to Rivers trail system, proximity to wildlife and at the gateway to some of Idaho's most scenic areas.
